The fastest-growing alternative dry-cleaning fluids are hydrocarbon-based solvents. These solvents are comprised of straight and multi-branched mixtures of hydrocarbons. Some of these compounds perform like better solvents but can be relatively more harmful to the environment and product users.
Calypsolv HC is a direct solvent replacement for dry cleaning machines designed to operate using a high flash (>140 F) hydrocarbon solvent.
